Status and controller information

Your local record is not collected by Mama Bloom
The app must store information to provide a personal journal: your profile, cycle observations, notes, settings and locally generated insights remain inside protected local app storage on your iPhone. Personal estimates and comparisons are calculated there. Mama Bloom does not receive or collect this working record during ordinary app use. There is no Mama Bloom account, developer cloud sync or health-data backend.
Apple Health is optional
If you grant permission, Mama Bloom reads or writes only the Apple Health categories you approve. Health permissions can be changed in Apple Health. Health data is used for the features you request, not for advertising or sale. Apple controls Apple Health storage and permissions under its own terms.
Widgets, Shortcuts and paired devices
Discreet widgets show only “Open Mama Bloom” by default. A broad range and quick-action labels are separate choices you can enable. App Intents exposed to Siri, Spotlight, Shortcuts and the Action button use generic action names and open Mama Bloom’s protected interface to continue; they do not speak cycle values or save a sensitive observation in the background. The paired Watch may temporarily hold a limited forecast snapshot and queued quick logs for delivery to your iPhone.
Optional local quality diagnostics
Only if you enable private quality diagnostics, the app keeps a bounded local archive of Apple MetricKit crash, hang, energy and performance reports in protected app storage. The archive is scrubbed, is not built from or combined with your profile, cycle observations, notes, forecasts or Apple Health values, and is not uploaded to an analytics backend. It leaves the device only when you deliberately prepare and send a diagnostic export; you can delete the local archive in the app.
Apple services
Apple processes App Store purchases and subscription status. Apple WatchConnectivity carries the limited snapshot and quick logs between paired devices. Apple’s share sheet handles destinations you choose for an export. Apple also operates Siri, Spotlight, Shortcuts, MetricKit, device security and device settings under its own terms. Mama Bloom does not receive your payment-card or bank details.
Optional protected iCloud backup
Off by default. If you enable it, the app keeps one sealed copy of your archive in your own iCloud through Mama Bloom’s private CloudKit container. The copy is stored in a CloudKit encrypted field: iCloud encrypts it end to end on your iPhone before upload, using keys that stay in your iCloud Keychain. Mama Bloom performs no encryption of its own and holds no key, so it cannot read the copy. Observations read from Apple Health are left out of the backup; Health carries those to your devices itself. Without iCloud Keychain, the copy cannot be opened on a replacement device. Apple processes the iCloud storage under its own terms. Turning the backup off stops replication, and the in-app deletion flow removes the sealed copy.
Website visits and external source links
This site contains no advertising, analytics, tracking, fingerprinting or marketing scripts and sets no analytics or advertising cookies. It does not ask for or collect a cycle record. Hosting and security infrastructure still processes ordinary request data—such as IP address, browser information, requested page and security events—to deliver and protect the site. These records are not used to build an advertising profile.
Learn includes optional links to public-health, care and privacy sources selected for the current app language. Opening one leaves Mama Bloom’s protected interface and uses the browser. The destination and network providers can then receive ordinary request information such as IP address, browser information, requested page and security events under their own terms. Mama Bloom does not add a cycle record, advertising identifier or tracking parameter to those links.
Support and privacy communications
If you contact support or privacy, the message, sender details and related correspondence are processed to answer the request. Do not include health, cycle, fertility, pregnancy or other sensitive information. Correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to handle the request and meet applicable legal obligations.
Legal bases for European users
Where the GDPR applies, contact requests are processed to respond to steps you ask us to take or on legitimate interests in providing support. Essential hosting and security logs are processed for the legitimate interests of operating a secure, reliable site. Consent will be requested before any future optional processing that requires it.
Providers, transfers and disclosure
Website hosting, communications providers and Apple services may act as independent controllers or processors and may process data in other countries using applicable transfer safeguards. We do not sell personal data. Information may be disclosed when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.
Your choices and rights
In the app you can review, correct, export and delete the local record; manage widget disclosure choices; and delete the optional local diagnostic archive. Deleting local information does not delete Apple Health entries, files you exported, messages you sent, or copies controlled by Apple or another destination. Depending on local law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability for information the publisher controls, and complain to your data-protection authority.
Consumer health data (Washington and other US states)
Some US states, including Washington through the My Health My Data Act, Nevada through SB 370 and Connecticut through its health-data provisions, regulate “consumer health data”. Mama Bloom does not collect, share or sell consumer health data as those laws define it: the cycle record exists only inside protected storage on your device or, if you enable the optional backup, sealed inside your own iCloud where Mama Bloom cannot read it. Mama Bloom does not process precise location, does not use geofencing of any kind — including around care facilities — and serves no advertising. Because no consumer health data reaches Mama Bloom, there is nothing for it to disclose, share, sell or delete on its side; the record and its deletion remain under your direct control in the app. If you nonetheless send health information in a support message, it is handled under section 09 and deleted when the request is closed. You can exercise any state-law rights, or ask questions about this section, at privacy@mamabloom.app.
Children, teens and changes
Mama Bloom Cycle is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed to children under 13. The app creates no account, builds no profile and collects no personal information from any user, so no child’s data can accumulate with Mama Bloom; the record a teenager keeps stays on their device, protected by the same custody, lock and deletion controls as every record. There is no advertising and no tracking for users of any age. Material changes to this notice will be dated and presented before they take effect where required. This notice does not replace Apple’s privacy terms.
